DMS Kicks Off Kindness Challenge

You may have noticed our school sign reads "Kindness Counts!" On October 4th, DMS had a Kickoff Assembly to begin the Middle School Kindness Challenge, which is taking place in middle schools all over the country.  Our essential question for our school community is: Why does kindness matter? We are encouraging students to make more of an effort to reach out and be kind to everyone. Saying hello, holding a door, providing assistance to someone are all examples of being kind. Students will take part in activities during advisory that focus on the importance of being kind. At the end of the month we will ask all students to take part in our final project, KINDNESS ROCKS! Students will paint rocks that help support our goal and will be displayed in the courtyard.
