Calling All Student-Athletes
Welcome to another exciting school sports year!!! All paperwork that a student-athlete needs to participate in the interscholastic sports teams is available by clicking on the files below. Please click on each form to download the Chemical Health Policy, Assumption of Risk, Physical, and Student Participation Packet. These forms must be filled out and handed into the main office in order to tryout for any interscholastic school sports team. To all fall middle school athletes and their Parents a mandatory event will be held soon for all NK middle school students planning to participate in WINTER athletics. A parent/guardian must accompany the student. The presentation addresses the Chemical Health and Student Safety Policy adopted by the School Committee and amended in June 09. The meeting will focus on the impact of alcohol and drugs on athletic performance and student potential. Any student who does not attend with a parent may not be allowed to play until they have attended a session. All student athletes who have not attended the previous chemical health policy presentation are required to attend this meeting so they are eligible to participate in tryouts.

In order to be eligible to try out for a sports team
Three things are necessary in order to be eligible for tryouts:
1. Sign your child up at the link listed above for the appropriate sport and school.
2. Turn in a copy of the student’s physical to the COACH (which is within 15 months of the start of the season)
3. Make sure an Assumption of Risk Form has been completed once in your child's career at the middle school level. If they have been on a team and rostered they have turned in this form. Both forms can be turned in to the coach at tryouts but you are encouraged to drop them off in the office to the coach's attention prior to the tryout date.
